- KAREN MATTHEWS, FOUNDER & CEO, PURPOSE-DRIVEN CONSULTING

9.00 am     Presentation: THE DIGITAL ‘T’s - THREADS, TWINS, TECHNOLOGY, & TRANSFORMATION

How to use the digital thread to create the digital twins and use both to implement advanced technologies and achieve Digital Transformation.

The emergence of 3D model-based engineering (MBE) some years ago fostered the creation of the Digital Thread enabling improved integration between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and sustainment along with a plethora of advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation, optical projection, and non-contact metrology. Digital Twins, a close relative of the digital thread are digital representations of physical or virtual assets engendered the use of modeling and simulation to reduce the cost and span for product development and testing. Together these technologies comprise Digital Transformation, focused on increasing enterprise speed, agility, insight, and competitiveness.
